The Mountain View, California tech wizards at Nod, Inc. (@meetnod) have created what may signal a major paradigm shift in the way we control our computers and in larger sense, the entire digitized world around us.
With a finger ring-like controller and a range of motions as simple a those we use to navigate our smartphones, Nod looks to solve the “problem” of “how we interact with devices” and the solution they’ve presented, reminiscent of Johnny Mnemonic, is likely to make us all wear that Keanu Reeves “mind blown” face at first glance.
I know I did.

Of course, we’ve seen the LEAP Motion controller and similar technologies before, but the Nod device obviously moves with the hand as opposed to being stationary, and offers a number of micro motions with what appear to be a clickable roller and motion sensors.
The creators have left the door open to further innovation, effectively crowdsourcing new uses for the device, and seeking out talented developers to jump in the pie.
Nod is available for pre-order, with incentives for referring additional orders, and you can learn all about that at their website.
